Guest guest
Gail: I never had my stomach massaged (although it sounds like a GREAT idea); however, I go in for massage therapy to manage my PMS aches and pains and it really works for me. I truly believe massage should be covered by insurance. Our evening News Reporter, Dr. Dean Edell, said there are health benefits associated with massage. Twice a month will do it for me. I believe it's a worthwhile investment. As for resolving your menstrual cycle flow, I'd say try it again. There are so many variables involved, a one-time positive outcome cannot be a true test. Try it for several months to a year (I would volunteer to be a test case for this). I realize this can be costly, but it's worth the investment to me. Just the relaxation benefit alone can improve the quality of one's life. Best of luck to you. Sheila

Guest guest
As a massage therapist and a healer I believe the outcome is also effected by the intention of the person massaging. As a psychiatrist one pointed out to me, " the stomach is the seat of the emotions. " Then there is the Dan or Tan Tien area, the power center in the abdomen. Lady luck and miscellaneous. I am glad you had relief! ;-)! gg notallbad4you wrote: > I had a massage three days prior to the start of my period. Guest guest
Hi Gail, I am an CMT (massage therapist) with fibroids that does massage her uterus. Massage brings much needed oxygen to tissues and relieves congestion. It along with vitex has shortened my periods from 10 days or more to 3 days. I no longer have any clots...almost the consistency of water. How much is the vitex and how much is the massage, I don't know. Massage is very healing..it causes the body to heal itself through the circulation and lymph system. You might want to try it yourself or have her teach you. It is also great for constipation if you massage in the right direction. Good luck. Guest guest
I have recently learned of a massage therapist who adjusts the uterus. I was skeptical at first until I went to her. She told me that it is a wide-spread practice in other countries and I think she learned in Mexico. This therapist also shows you how to massage and adjust your uterus yourself. It felt great during - a bit of discomfort after (you know you've been somewhere) - and I can't wait to go back. The massage lasted half an hour. I recommend this from a licensed and knowlegeable massage therapist. Best, Bev.

Guest guest
I had a massage a few days prior to my myo, and he stressed the importance of breathing. He asked me to take some deep breaths, and he noticed that I didn't breath into my abdomen, I only breath using my chest. He said how important it was to breath using my whole abdomen, and reminded me to do so right before I went under, thinking healthy, healing thoughts into my stomach, and that I should continue to do so thereafter the surgery. Just my two cents. liz
Guest guest
Wow. That reminds me. I had the abslute coolest experience last night. I was taking my cranio-sacral class and one of the women is a sweetheart and does alot of work. She worked on me and all of my pain vanished and has not returned. Understand on a scale of 0 to 10...my pain has been a constant 3 to 7. My abdominal pain and my pain in my right arm left. I am astounded. truly. gg lizardallen wrote: > I had a massage a few days prior to my myo, and he stressed the > importance of breathing.
