Guest guest
: I think that it is entirely up to you. I don't see them at all on a regular basis. My care has transitioned to my PCP, but I direct her about when to write me up labs sheets for blood work. The support groups there are also not at a convenient time for me, so I go to the KSSF support group meetings because they are on the weekends, not during the work week. However, I think that you should ask them your question. Of course, it is natural for you to miss them. I'm sure that they'd miss you too if you didn't show up from time to time. Guest guest
Thanks Gem !! It just feels weird after over a year of working with the staff, to suddenly be at a point where I dont. Guest guest
Hi , that’s not a weird question, that’s a good question! I went through Pacific Bariatrics and their follow-up is every 3 months for the first year, but I’m not sure what happens after the first year! Guess I’ll have to check on that. I’m sure it’s perfectly normal for you to feel like you’re going to miss them…you’ve relied on them for a long time now during a time of your life when you were going through tremendous changes and they were your guides through this journey. Even recently with your recon surgery complication, it was the Richmond bariatric staff who came to the rescue and helped you through that when the ER staff was useless. Let us know what they recommend as far as frequency of long-term follow-up. Thanks! - Lesa - Weird Question Ok, I have a strange question. I am almost recovered from my reconstructive surgery. I will probally only see the bariatric staff a couple of more times. How often as post ops do we check in? I am seriously going to miss the Richmond Staff!!! Is this normal???
