Guest guest
Just wanted to drop a quick note... I was dx with dermatomyositis in 1996, used prednisone for 3 yrs, was allergic to plaquinel, refused mtx. I found out about antibiotic therapy thru The Roadback - the book The New Arthritis Breakthrough by Henry Scammell. I achieved remission in about a years time using minocycline (200mg mwf) - weaned off all meds and then after the birth of my 3rd child in 2001 I relapsed... I used erythromycin 500mg daily and my labs were normal in 8 weeks. I again weaned off and have been in remission ever since. There was a time when i could barely get up, stairs were almost impossible... i couldn't raise my arms... I now run, workout, snowboard, do yoga... ) Find a doc to work with you... the toxic supressant meds will never 'cure' you. L
