I'm arriving with my work buddy and we'll be doing for surgery the 14th as well. That makes us triplets! I know that there is at least one other person on our list going for surgery that day as well. The clinic is a wonderful experience worth every effort you make to get there. A short tip: Dr. R's practice is located in a building which is SO similar to every other building on that side of Ben lin Blvd. that I almost missed it. However, it is the only building smart enough to have a sign at the front corner of the building nestled into the shrubbery. The sign states Regional Surgical Associates I believe...it's about four by five and white in color. The first one is at 9am and ends around noon; the second one sort of flows from the first around noon and is " over " around 3pm. I was such a goof about enjoying the company and the information, that I was only able to get up and leave when I saw Debbie picking up papers, coke cans and replacing all the knickknacks on the tables that we moved while we were there. The clinic's waiting room is a delightful mix of furniture and objects. It's like someone's living room...not at all sterile or " doctor's office. " Did I tell you that if you cross the bridge over the pond, you've gone too far on Ben lin Blvd.? If you like soda pop, bring change. They've got a pop machine in a most interesting location. Never saw a pop machine placed in a location like this before. It must be part of that " one-stop-shopping " craze. You'll see what I mean! Dee in MI. I heard he had over 50 people there too1 He's getting so popular now, but also so busy! You won't need to stay the entire time though..he will introduce, shwo a video, etc at 9 to about 11 and then Debbie will assign you an " appointment " time to see him privately..You will have a few hours to tour around Durham and get some lunch before your appointment, so be prepared! Once you turn onto the road between the pond and his building, make a right into the parking area and park. His entrance is at the opposite end from the pond.
