I wish a happy new year to you all, too. I really appreciate all

the support I get on this board, I love you all.

It's not that I don't get support at home, I do get lots of support,

but I really love reading about all your trials and joys, it really

helps inspire me. It's also great to be able to vent my feeling to

you all. This is my favorite support board out of the 5 boards I

try to follow.

I have also had a lot of progress the past couple of years. Since

May, 2003, I've lost over 160 pounds, and that's a whole person! I

can now climb the stairs in my house without getting out of breath,

matter of fact, I can climb 3 flights of stairs at my office without

getting out of breath. I can reach stuff (to put it delicately)

like I can scratch my back, and do other good reaching stuff. I can

even reach the bottom of our chothes washer now, before, my tummy

got in the way.

However, I'm still not where I want and need to get. My weight is

still hovering around 190 pounds, and I need to get down to 140 at

least. Also, for some reason, I get stiff joints easily. I can

work the kinks out, but when I'm sitting for long periods of time or

when laying in bed, I get stiff again. Also, my hips, legs, feet

and arms get numb when I'm laying in bed at night, and I have to

wake every once in a while to stretch and work the numbness out.

So, I still don't get a full night's uninterrupted sleep because of

this.

My doctor thinks that I may still be heavy enough so that when I'm

laying in bed I put pressure on the nerve points. He thinks that

when I get lighter, that problem might be resolved.

I think that I need to do more muscle strengthening. Currently, I

belong to Curves, where I go for a workout 3 times a week. I want

to join a more comprehensive gym, one that has a personal trainer,

so I can get a more intense workout. This is my goal for 2005.

Unfortunately, I'll need to wait for some financial business to be

resolved, and that might take until mid February, but once I have

the money, I will start checking out another gym (also one with

longer hours than Curves!).

I'm also still working on concentrating on enjoying eating my small

portions, making sure I don't eat too fast or too much (ugh! that

hurts!) I also sometimes slip on drinking enough water. But, I do

know this is a work in progress. I am determined to get back on

track and get that last 50 to 60 pounds off. After that, I'm going

to have a tummy tuck, breast lift and maybe a tush tightening.

So, I've got big plans for 2005, Oh, yeah, I'll be marrying off my

daughter in October, and I need to get to a point that I can wear a

great dress. Wouldn't it be neat if I can wear the same size as my

24 year old daughter? VBG!

Well, I'm rambling, and it's about quarter to the ball dropping, so

this is about all for now. I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR, again!
