Could be either of them, considering the relation between the

gut and anxiety. The best thing to do is to go back to a simple

diet - beginners diet or stage 1 food (or whatever your stage 1

food is if it is non standard) for a few days to see what happens.

Thanks Mara! Should I cut back on my yogurt? I've been eating 2 cups a

day for a couple of months or so.

That's individual. Try it each way and see which

helps more.

Feel better soon.

Unfortunately, there has been no improvement. Constipation has gotten

much worse, which has highly irritated my fissue. A new very large and

angry hemorrhoid appeared last night, to go along with my old but

newly angered hemorrhoids. Probably the cause of blood suddenly

appearing (I haven't had much of a bleeding problem in quite awhile).

The two spots where my fistulas used to be have become swollen, and I

really hope they don't break through again.

I have zero appetite, and it's a struggle just to eat small amounts of

food. Yogurt has been a favorite of mine since I started the diet, but

now even the thought of it is blech. Even a cup of tea makes me feel

bloated and overfull. My body starts off a normal temperature in the

morning, but increases as the day goes on. I only wear a t-shirt and

shorts to bed at night, and don't even need a blanket. Anxiety is

still wild.

I don't really have abdominal pain (except for the bloated feeling),

so that's a plus. I always feel very fatigued, so I'm not sure that

it's necessarily worse.

What little I'm eating is intro food (although I did have some cheese

on my scrambled eggs). Although food tastes lousy, juice still tastes

pretty good (diluted, of course). I take epsom salts baths.

Is there anything else I can do to get through this? And does anyone

know of remedies for an extremely angry butt? I have some cream the

doctor prescribed me (HC Praxomine), but it's almost gone. Would

vitamin e oil potentially help? The pain and burning during bowel

movements just about sends me through the roof!

It's rather disillioning to feel so poorly after 3 months, for both me

and my parents.

I used to have some of that problem. Not as bad. I used prep H every time. Before and after. It helped a great deal. Shrinks things and helps the irritation. But you have to be proactive. I have constipation. Something that seemed to help a little was taking Magnesium. I think it tends to soften things a bit. But I don't have what you have. My problem is IBS. The fissures may also be helped by using tucks or cottonelle moist wipes instead of toilet paper. There is also a product called Anisol. That helped me a lot when I had fissures. You can get all of it at the local drug store. Not expensive and won't hurt you. So give all of the above a try. .To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Friday, February 27, 2009 4:40:11 PMSubject: Re: 3 month flair? The pain and burning during bowelmovements just about sends me through the roof!Well there's those vitamin e suppositories you could try - made by carlson - google thosefor a source. Also coconut oil would be soothing. Have you tried miralax? Seems to me that the symptoms are related to the factthat you have all these pathogenic bacteria in you, and possibly even with someof them dying off and releasing their toxins, but no exit for the toxins, so itmultiplies the problem. Have you tried an epsom bath to help with detoxing through the skin? Mara

Thanks for the ideas and Mara! I'll ask my mom if she'll run out

and pick up some more epsom salts (ran out tonight), Anisol, etc.

Hopefully one or more of them will help.

I already take magnesium, but will up the amount to see if that helps.

I have some Vitamin E suppositories, but am reluctant about using them

at the moment. I think it might be too painful to insert.

About the coconut oil, is that the same as the stuff you can cook

with? Sorry about the silly question.

It's Anusol. For suppositiory insert with a painful bum, you can shave off any extra sharp material with a sharp paring knife and either warm the tip with your hands or pass quickly through a candle to soften. Suppositories are made out of cocoa butter which melts at body temp. If you soften the suppository first it will not be painful. You can also coat the suppository with vaseline for easier insertion or you can coat it with the Vit E oil you mentioned for easier insertion. Unfortunately, suppositories are more effective than external creams or ointments.

Hi Terry & ,

Thankfully, I only took 2 antihistamines just over a week ago. I'll

avoid taking them again if at all possible.

I temporarily resolved the C with milk of magnesia. Now it's a matter

of keeping it resolved, which I have never had success with.

Today I got some more epsom salts, some little witch hazel pads (a

generic for Tucks), and some Anusol. I also have some glycerin

suppositories, vitamin e suppositories, and vitamin e oil. If all that

fails to soothe the angry butt, I'll go back for Prep H.

Is there a legal prune juice? Or do you have to buy some prunes and

boil them down?

Exercise is my major weakness. I know I need it, but I don't get it. I

need to try to get some walking in between my many naps ;).

Thanks for all the helpful advice! Hopefully things will turn around

for the better!

Hi there, I’m no expert, but have you tried aloe-vera

gel rubbed in externally? I think it is illegal to eat or drink it, but I

know it is very good at healing skin fissures etc and stopping stinging and

burning.

All the best
