Crystal,

You sound like you need to find a good dr right away. All that bleeding is

not good. You should also have your iron level checked to see whether or not

you are anemic. Just reading about how much you are bleeding scares me. You

need to do something soon I would think. Can you call a hospital near you

and talk to the gyn dept or referral line and find a gyn that way?

I ended up in the ER last year with excessive bleeding and didn't have a gyn.

I asked for the head of the hospital's gyn dept and got an appt to see him

the next day. I got right in there and they did a D & C a couple of days

later.

Hope you find a dr. Don't delay.

Hello!

Yeah, I know the bleeding is terrible. And it scares me worse everytime it

happens. I think that if it happens this month, which i am sure it will, i will

just go ahead and go to the emergency room, maybe i can get something done if

they see how much i am bleeding.

As far as the iron, yes i am anemic, the doc checked yesterday, and when i asked

him about a vitamin maybe an iron pill, he said that all i needed was a

multivitamin.

So, thanks for the concern and i sure hope something happens soon. Crystal

I agree with gg about the iron pills. I have been taking them for almost 3

months now. But, I still feel like crap. Have been bleeding for 3 weeks now.

I am going tomorrow to gyn for endo biopsy. I have a fibroid. Going to have

him check my blood for anemia (to see if it's still bad) and my thyroid.

Chrystal, you should get the iron tablets. But be careful. They can cause

constipation! Yuck! Good Luck!

NOT!!!!!!

What you need is some iron tabs in my opinion. Slow Fe worked for me! When I

finally did somethin my hemoglobin was the highest it's ever been! hahaha.

Go to the ER if you are scared, and tell them they need to do something. STAT.

I was given b.c. pills initially and they worked fine for awhile. gg

But what about the articles that I have read that says " Do not take birth

control pills while you have a fibroid because it aggravates it. " Crystal

I was taking something called Liquid Iron with Folic Acid and Vit. b12 by NF

Formulas, Inc. Got it from a naturopath. No constipation.

Hi Crystal,

Yes you can! I'm in MD and they are at the drug store, grocery store, Wal

Mart, etc. I started out with just taking 1 tablet (50mg) a day for almost 2

months, I know take two. Per my docs orders.

Hope it helps.

I've been taking an iron geltab for a week now, it's called Chromagen

Forte. So far, no constipation LOL. Though, my body has always been

pretty good with that. It does discolor the feces a bit though

(think tar lol) I know, gross.

Just figured I'd share. So far, I feel the same. General lack of

want to do anything, but I think I've been that way since way before

fibroids ;-)

Well, heck...I was in meltdown mode after the ultrasound tech passed out cold

because I began hemmorhaging on the table....walked over to my sweet

internist and he got pale and called the gyn and she said...do this for right

now. It bought me time. I said... " scr-w " and took three at a time and three

a day til the whole shootin match stopped. That worked for about a month until

I calmed down....then I guess it wore off. I am not the model patient, sad

to say. I am the only advocate I have. gg
