I have been thinking so much about this lately. When someone shares a high cholesterol number, I just think, " gee that's too bad, this person is really sick " I never blame the person. But with weight it is SO different. I can't wait for the day that I have the MGB, and don't care WHO knows how much I weigh! My mother would drop dead if she had any idea how much I weigh. It's a number she couldn't even comprehend! NV
Guest guest
<< AHA! I have found someone else who would like my inversion table!!!!! My hubby thinks I am mad, but I find it invigorating to be upside down! Now if they could find a way to help me spin I would be a happy four year old in an 34 year old body! >> PAige, exactly! Remember hanging upside down from the bar on the playground and throwing yourself over and under it with complete abandon? I used the jungle gym like a monkey as a kid. Upside down feels good because everything assumes a more normal perspective...for 4 year olds! Did you dive backwards into the pool to feel the rush of coming back up? How about circles and flips underwater to get the same disoriented rush? PAige...those are exactly the things that I've been missing since I got fat. Don't they have inversion tables that allow you to not only clamp your ankles in but also give you handles to allow for a complete 360? Physical therapists out there: don't they? That would be a rush! Dee in MI.
Guest guest
<< My mother would drop dead if she had any idea how much I weigh. It's a number she couldn't even comprehend! >> Yeah, everytime I hear a comment from my husband about the size/weight of a football player during the play-by-play, I'm cringing. I weighed more than some of those linebackers prior to my MGB. And I've " shrunk " two inches due to the weight/stress on my spine...so I'm a really short, squat linebacker. More like a fire plug on steroids! Yeah, some numbers are best left out of conversation with some of our loved ones. Dee in MI.

I know exactly how you feel. I weigh more than most of those football players! We will be at friends and they will say " oh my gosh! that guy is huge! " talk about cringing! Oh well, hopefully one day soon, I will be the incredible shrinking woman! I love reading your posts Dee. Sharon In KY
