Guest guest
Hi Us We are planning our 4th trip to Hawaii in Feb/05. Our youngest daughter is a Special Agent in the Air Force and is stationed in Hawaii. We fly out of Newark, NJ so it is about a 12 hour plane trip, we always take the direct flight. As far as the bathroom we usually try to get seats close to the potty, so my husband can lift me out of the seat and from there I can walk with his assistance to the bathroom. My oldest daughter usually goes with us but she got married 2 weeks ago so it will be a little harder for me to deal with the bathroom situation in the airport without her. Even if we take the redeye and no matter how many pills I take I find it impossible to sleep on an airplane. Thank god for Continental, they have 3 movies in flight and your own tv screen in back of every headrest. Our first trip we were spoiled when the ran out of seats and bumped us up to first class, what a wonderful ride. I take my scooter with me and my daughter always calls beforehand and they approve me to bring my scooter to the gate of the plane and then they take it and put it in the plane from there. They usually try to give her a hard time but she's with homeland security so they let it go. As far as tips buy an Entertainment Book, we buy one every year for Hawaii and it pays for itself on one trip to a 5 star restaurant. Hawaii is very handicap friendly, we usually stay at the Hilton Hawaii Village in Waikikii. Hope this helps Luann in Nj Recuperating from Bunion and 4 hammertoes surgery (I need a trip to Hawaii now)
Guest guest
It is so nice to see so many go to Hawaii. We did the Waikiki our first trip, now we rent a house in Kailua. It is so much nicer to relax and more private, beach right there.
