Hi, this is directed to anyone seriously contemplating the Oz trip in June;

so far, I know of Jimmy, nurse Patty, June, Cindi and Rod, na and Brad,

Marie and and Tev Dorfman. Anybody I left out? Just wanted to

say I got a book out of the library and now am going to try and buy it; it

is simply called Australia, and is from AAA. It says " Spiral Guides " , the

price on the back looks like $16.95.

I highly suggest you try and get a copy; okay Marcus who I am sure has lots

of free time right now (LOL)

June mentioned to get a group rate on airlines we would all need to fly

together; I kind of thought we needed to do that, as you said it is a

distance from the airport to Surfer's Paradise, and you would meet the

plane; Now how many people can you handle?

How far mileage wise is Sydney from where you are?

I read about Ball Beach and the Great Ocean Road; do you think we could get

a tour driver that would drive us there as a group? The book talks about

this being an awesome drive, and on Ball Beach some of the biggest waves in

the world; the surfers are awesome to watch; is this something that will be

doable in June?

The Great Barrier Reef - could we book a tour from Surfer's Paradise that

will take us there? I think some of us would like to go snorkeling or on a

glass bottom boat; could this all be part of a tour from Surfer's Paradise,

or do we need to make separate arrangements?

Originally someone had suggested since we were going so far, maybe we should

do New Zealand or Hawaii also; but it seems to me like that is saying, well

since I am flying all the way to the US, I may as well see Canada too. But

if what we have is two weeks, we would be hard put to see all the parts of

Australia? That is one thing, in this book it suggests like if you have 3

days for the Great Barrier Reef area, what to see each day, etc. Should we

go as a group, say, to the Great Barrier Reef, and then split up to do what

you want? Incidentally this book also has websites to find out about some

things/places/etc.

Hey Marcus, how about these questions, and I am just getting warmed up!!!

LOL Should we develop an OZ list that just sends these posts to the people

interested in going and not clog up the NF2Crew list? Now I know I probably

should have waited til January to send this, but I am always early!! Marie
