Guest guest
This is on our anniversary, April 1. It was about 5 days after my first chemo treatment. And the hair is all gone now. A pic of our four kids - Christmas '05. The younger three got the chicken pox days after this was taken! Love,

Guest guest
, What a great family! How are your kids doing with your diagnosis and treatment? Barb Thanks Barb! My kids are doing really well. My oldest is 25. She has an apartment nearby but is here nearly every day or so on her way home, etc. She comes to help out on the days I have chemo and just be together. She is really close to the younger ones and will take them to the grocery store or just out for ice cream and fun stuff. She is always full of great ideas to help or cheer. On chemo nights we have family movie nights. The younger ones are 17, 14, and 13. They are the best. We homeschool so we are together all the time and talk a great deal. I know that the kids were really worried in the beginning but are now relieved at how treatable that we are told this is. So they have a great attitude. We talk and learn and pray together about it all. One of the things I had told the physchologist in the the beginning , was that I hated it for my kids. I told him I didn't want them to have this happen- you know we all want our kids to have the perfect childhood, etc. He gave us a different way to look at it all. He said to think of this as an opportunity to teach them how we behave when bad things happen to us, things we don't like or understand, how we cope, etc. That is so true! It really helped us to look at things in that light. Love,

Guest guest
Wow, that is a great way to look at bc. Glad to hear you are such a close family... and home schooling, too. I think we have to look at bc as an opportunity for many things. Sure has opened my eyes about some things I never knew before. Barb Re: family photos- Here are mine! , What a great family!
