i am currently med free. have been since 1 month into the diet. i took

myself off imuran and pentasa because my doc told me there weren't

doing anything. the doc wanted to put me on humira but i couldn't

afford it. i actually started feeling better after i stopped the meds

and went 100% SCD.. i still have inflammation 1 year into the diet, but

being off the meds is a Godsend.

I've been med free for about a year. I started SCD between flares after weaning off Prednisone and Asacol around 11 months ago. I'm mostly symptom free when I'm being strict on the diet. Yes, I am happy to say that my daughter, Kaitlyn age 10, is currently

med-free and we hope and pray that it stays that way! Eventhough she

is young, she knows the importance of staying " legal " . This diet has

been a godsend for us! She is currently doing better than ever, I

guess the Pentasa is finally out of her system.

How I love to hear the success stories.

My son (crohn's) who is now 13 has always been med free on this diet.

he was diagnosed at age 11. I am happy to hear the success stories as well.

My 9 year old with Cd has been med free since starting the diet 9

months ago!! Her symptoms are fewer and farther apart every month!!

Not one major flare since starting the diet.

Donna, that is really encouraging to me, as I have Crohn’s and

have been on the diet only two weeks. I’m already feeling a few good effects

even in that small amount of time, but seeing your post helps one persevere.
