Glad to hear you are home from the hospital and at least keeping down

liquids. As Cy said, I hope it's a viral infection rather than a

function of renal failure so you will get to feeling better fairly

soon. Rest, rest, rest - and enjoy being catered to by your family.

Thank you ! I think I am moving in the right direction finally. I have to

go back today or tomorrow to make sure I am stable, but I think I am doing

better today.

Hi Besty,

Thank you for your sweet post. It is unusul for me to be the one catered to,

but my daughters have been doing just that. I just might get to like this so

much I won't let them leave :-)

I have been resting, resting and resting some more. This left me so weak I don't

have the energy to do much of anything. I have not even set one foot out of the

front door since I got out of the hospital, and probably won't today either.

Hope you and had a wonderful Christmas.

Hi Aruna,

thank you for checking in on me :-)

I had to go back today because I am just not doing well. It seems I have a

touch of pancreatitis on top of the kidneys, so I have to go spend another day

at the hospital for tests tomorrow. The labs today were worse than at

Christmas. What a way to spend a week off!!!

I am still not eating, but keeping liquids down.

Thank you so much for your prayers!

Rita you are SO sweet to worry about me in your time of sorrow! This is just

one of those bumps in the road, and I am sure in another week or so I will be

back on track. I am not working all this week so if I can manage to stay

away from the hospital, I should be able to get lots of rest.

Definitely not the way I had planned on spending the vacation week...but at

least I had both daughters. My oldest went home today, but I get my youngest

another week and a half.

I am more worried about YOU needing those Bry hugs (Bonnie, where ARE

you???)

I hope you are able to feel some comfort knowing you put Zeester out of his

suffering Rita. It was a very brave and loving thing to do.

Thanks . Hopefully I can bounce back in a couple more days so at least I

can enjoy a few days before going back to the grind next Monday. I

completely missed Christmas but hopefully I can have a nice New Year's dinner.

I feel awful that you are bouncing back and forth between home and the hospital.

I hope that your tx team can keep those tests moving forward and you can get a

date soon!

No apology necessary at all, and the answer is no. I lost 6 pounds this

week, but I think once I start eating normally again, I will come back up to

120.

I did get a lecture about my body mass index putting me in the underweight

category and how much I needed to eat more. I have been drinking Sprite, and

putting honey in my tea for extra calories instead of drinking water, and today

was able to almost eat normally. I think in another day or two I should be

fully recovered.

Thank you so much Cy, your concern really does touch me deeply. I feel very

cared for by this group!

I hope that you have a restful weekend and feel well enough for work on

Monday. Take it easy!

Your faith is such an inspiration. Thanks for spreading the good news

Hi ,

Yes, I did have a touch of pancreatitis. I am not sure if a virus

precipitated it or if it was just my body spiraling out of control. It

could be that

the busy time of year was just too much for me. I have had pancreatitis

a

number of times in the past, and it just seems it takes time to let my

body heal.

I have only worked a couple of hours a day this week, and now am off

Friday-Sunday.

I am very glad you wrote Dr. D an email. Hopefully he can reinforce the

importance of compliance with medication next time you and Rob go in.

And yes, God IS good ALL the time, even in the midst of pancreatitis :-)
