Hi Holly ... i have found a local Italian meat shop that slices the prosciutto right in front of me & uses the old fashioned brown paper wrap & when I asked them to find me a sugar free ham --they found it in just 2 weeks! All of my meats now I either get from them, or I buy in bulk from a local meatcutter ( ie: 1/4 cow, cut the way I like, Hutterite organic chickens, 1/8 of pork ) It gets cut exactly the way i want it, is wrapped in brown paper ( not cornstarch/bpa-plastic or styrofoam), is grassfed/crud free AND is about 75% cheaper than the grocery store!! I found my meatcutter through a local free classifieds paper & the Italian shop by word of mouth ( they also make divine --totally crud free-safe for me sausages!!) good luck! gisele

Hi Gisele,

There's a little butcher shop that I've passed by many times, but have

never stopped. I think it's time to check it out and see if they have

any sugar free pork products. How I crave ham and sausage!

Apparently, they also sell a specialty raw dog food (maybe my picky

dog would eat it), as well as chicken feet and every sort of bone

imaginable. Now I just have to figure out if I can handle seeing

chicken feet floating around in the soup broth. I wonder if the feet

are whole, or if it's just the toes? And do the toes still have the

little nails on them? Blech!!! I have a pet bird, so maybe dismembered

birdie feet have a worse effect on me than they do on a normal

person...bird owners are weirdos, ya know ;).
