Guest guest
I can't use vinegars, so didn't answer your question at first. But since no one else is replying, I just did a little research. Elaine's website indicates white vinegar is legal as long as it doesn't contain any illegal additives. She doesn't mention the source of the vinegar, so I'm guessing that corn used in a vinegar would be OK, as would rice. The fermentation required to make vinegar should denature the grains. However, some people are sensitive to vinegars made from corn, rice or some other sources. And my decision would be to stay away from any product derived from corn or rice or another grain ; I'd use apple cider vinegar instead, or a wine vinegar. But, my thinking is that white vinegar made from corn or vinegar made from rice would technically be OK while on SCD, but is no guarantee that it will work for you specifically. And it would be wise to choose another form of vinegar, just in case. Kim M. SCD 5 years >>>>>>>>> Hi Y'all,I didn't get a response about whether white vinegar made from corn is legal. For that matter, how about rice vinegar? Thanks!
