Guest guest
" Fish gelatine (especially from warm water fish) reportedly possesses similar characteristics to porcine gelatine and may thus be considered as an alternative to mammalian gelatine for use in food products, " wrote scientists from Universiti Sains Malaysia in the journal Food Hydrocolloids. " Production and utilization of fish gelatine not only satisfies the needs of consumers, but also serves as a means to utilize some of the byproducts of the fishing industry, " they added. I think that means you can use pretty much use it as you would beef or pork gelatin. Boil a cup of water, add the gelatin, add a cup of fruit juice that you can tolerate, and some sliced bananas or something. Let it cool. Then chill it in the refrigerator. You could also just put it into hot liquid like legal beef or chicken broth and drink it. n From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Wizop Marilyn L. Guest guest
It says:Mix a packet of gelatin in a half cup of water (or milk) and mix it while waiting until the gelatin dissolves (around 25minutes). After that, warm it while stirring to a temperature of60-70 degrees centigrade (140- 160 F) until the dissolutionturns into gelatin and chill. The mixture is ready and you can now add it to all recipes. Mara>>>>Why not call Digestive Wellness and ask?
