Folks,

I appreciate those of you who have taken the time to email my son Cameron and me. He is home, but tires quickly and doesn't have a lot of energy for much more than school right now. He plans on writing back as soon as he can make it thru the day a little better.

I have a couple of more stupid questions...

Does anyone experience pancreatic pain on an empty stomach? He is having a hard time getting to lunch period at school. He has a great teacher that is allowing him to eat a snack whenever he needs it, as we have found that if he keeps a little something in his tummy, he feels better. Is this true for others of you?

Dairy products don't seem to be a major concern, but proteins in general are. Cameron can't seem to tolerate meats well, nor just about anything like fish or chicken. It makes his pain flair up. Any suggestions? I am only trying to get him to eat a little, so he does not get hungry as soon later, but he is not real receptive to any of it.

Does anyone experience any particular spices affecting their pain? Is there any special way that is more easily digested to prepare foods? I know frying is non-existent anymore, but we were never big fried food eaters to begin with.

Does anyone ever get "CURED" from this disease? Or once you are "chronic", you will always have it?

Thanks for what help you may have to offer. I apologize for my ignorance.

Donna,

Concerned Mom in Fort Worth, TX
