Guest guest
Congratulations Shirley, that is an AWESOME milestone! - Lesa - HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!! Happy Hump Day to all today.....It is a wonderful hump day for me. As of yesterday, 9-14-04, I was exactly 37 weeks out from surgery on 12-30-03. This morning when I got up for work at 3:50 a.m. I almost forgot to weigh myself. To my surprise, I have finally hit the century mark for losing. I weighed in at surgery at 281.5 and today I weighed in at 181. I was beginning to think I would never hit this mark as I am slowed down quite a bit by only losing 5 lbs last month according to my records at Curves. I feel so much better and now I will set my next goal. I think it is about time to look into a few smaller set of clothes since I try not to buy too much since I know I won't be in them long. I went to my son's high school back to school night last night and ran into some people I hadn't seen in a long time. They actually said I looked like I was melting away. I told them I have never felt better. I also was able to sit very comfortably in the high desks which I know I would not have been able to if I had not done this surgery. I am so happy I took this journey for myself and for my family. I wish nothing but the best for all the pre-ops out there waiting and for the post-ops who have done wonderfully with their tool. Everyone keep up the great work and wonderful support. Shirley (Sacramento) Dr. (PB in SD) 12-30-03 281.5/181/
Guest guest
Shirley: This is a WONDERFUL achievement. You deserve this happy feeling of freedom. All of us know what it takes to get as far as you have. Isn't wonderful that we have this place to sing our joys. Who else would understand setting new goals and buying new clothes quite the way we do here? Our lives are forever transformed by this gift. Thank you for reminding me how great life can be. Guest guest
Hi Shirley, Congrats on joining the Century Club. I think that is one of the coolest milestones. It is also really neat that you could fit comfortably in the desk. That is one of the things I haven't tried yet. I have thought about possibly going back to school, but I still remember how painful and embarassing it was trying to fit into the desks - even when I wasn't at my top weight. But, maybe I should give it a try.
