Hi, Everyone,re: Yogurt makers, I too would appreciate some advice.  Am wondering about getting the least expensive Excalibur rather then a yogurt maker.  What would be the drawbacks that you see.  Is the Excalibur--or any dehydrator that also makes yogurt-- noisy?  Bigger counter footprint?  Of course, probably less space than 2 appliances.  I was ordering the YoLife because it makes both small and large jars of yogurt.  Now I see that same could be said for dehydrator.  I do have a hand-me-down dehydrator, so had no plan to buy one.  The dehydrator does have a fan motor noise;  borrowed yogurt maker has been silent.  This dehydrator is not designed to be able to make yogurt. So:  Is the bottom-of-the-line Excalibur smaller but of same quality as others? If you were starting now, what would you buy?  Most affordable Excalibur, or keep olde, mostly not used Magic Chef Dehydrator, and just get yogurt maker?thank you for on-going advice and support on this list,Ruth
