I'm so relieved to see you posting today...I knew the fatigue had gotten to you when you weren't writing.

Just think, Trisha - here we were helping you START chemo, and you've completed this portion of the journey. You should be damn proud that you reached the other side like many of us here. It takes an incredible spirit to get here!!! I know I am especially proud to walk beside you.

Thank you for all your kind words and know you have truly touched my heart with your friendship...

I wish you a wonderful trip with the "girls" this weekend and renewed strength. Miracles can happen, but you have to believe and wish yourself the energy to enjoy yourself.

XOXOX

You're so cute how you look out for all of us Trish...the weather here has been very rainy in NY - I'll see how it feels when the sun has been out a few days.

I'm sure it is nothing; it's just amazing how we "think" every pain, bump, bruise is the big "C."

Hope you are doing well cutie!!

Yep Ren, I am. I am even getting a bit of peach fuzz on my head. Do you think my hair is "waking up?" I am feeling stronger each day, and am feeling more like Trisha. I see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Now if they just won't burn my boobies I will sail on smooth waters.

Thank you Trisha,

I have good skin, at least until now, though with age it has been getting more

sensitive. Some people say we should not wear bras and tight fitting clothes, so

I am wondering about a sport bra, or something. I do have hopes to exercise

during radiation. I am swollen from the meds and I want to get this out of me

and begin to get back to my former body size.

Hi . Radiation is very doable, but I burn more with each treatment.

My radiologist says that everyone doesn't do this and that I am an exception

Trust me to be an exception! It is especially painful under the arm and

below the shoulder on my back. The radiation is done with my arm lifted

over my head and all those " never seen the sun " parts get a real eye opener.

I can hack it for the 5 treatments remaining. I am on the blessed downhill

slide.

God Bless you on your journey.

Hi Trisha,

I am and I just finished my chemo and will start radio soon.

It is good to hear that radio is not so bad. I had such a hard time with

this treatment that I am glad that I will have a break!

A lot of you have asked me for a report on " me " ... (blushing) so

here it is

I am doing great, except for the good sized treatment area which is burned

on my left side. The radiation has made my surgery scars hard and very

painful. (auxiliary scar in my armpit and tumor removal scar on the left of

my breast itself.) The radiation concentrates itself mostly in the folds of

the skin and the auxiliary scar is deep and has made it's own fold so it has

taken the brunt of the radiation. I also have a good sized area under my

breast that is pretty burnt and peeling and very tender. I only have 7 more

treatments to go.... Hallelujah!

The radiation has not left me as tired as the chemotherapy, thank goodness,

but I am still not 100%. It has been a long uphill road but I am nearing

the end of this battle and within the year will hopefully be back to where I

was before November of last year when this all began.

I have a light covering of hair on my head now and it is growing by leaps

and bounds. I can't keep my hands off my head as I love feeling the " fuzz "

that is residing up there.

I am so lucky to have my Bill by my side. A very caring and helpful man

that has sweetly walked with me every step of the way. I also have had all

of you with me and I am so appreciative of that too. God bless you all!

When I finish my radiation on the 30th of June, Bill and I will be heading

out the following week to go on an RV adventure. We are heading to Maine

for an RV rally and then off to unknown parts of the good ole USA. We plan

to be gone at least 3 weeks and perhaps even longer. We will load ole

Smudge up and the three of us will just follow our noses after the rally.

Smooches to all of you. Thanks for your blessings and prayers.

I'm so glad they gave you a break today - just remember, it will heal. Mine

was almost blue it was so dark red, and if it could have bled, it would have.

Right in the underarm area. You don't know how much you need your underarm

till something like that. I pitied the poor people who get burned in fires. I

just couldn't imagine it past my underarm...it was agony. I finished on

December 21st, right before Christmas, and thank God I had finished my shopping

way before. I walked around with my arm extended for a few days. I can almost

" visualize " it just listening to you...

Looking at the area, even a couple of weeks after you're finished, you will

be amazed at the body and it's healing power.

I enjoyed making that rhyme for you this morning and am so glad it " perked "

you up. You're one of my special pals, some we just connect with a little

closer than others, although I love 'em all! Anything to help get you " THROUGH "

this treatment. Hang in there, Trish!

XOXOX

Boy, how wonderful that " cold " Maine water will feel on that underarm! But

just think how it's annihilating any remaining " floaters! "
