Hi everyone! You know those calls that you get that make you cringe,

and they usually start off with " Has anybody called you yet?! " , well

my boyfriend and I got 2 of them this weekend (Just as my friggin

internet went out, so I couldn't post). His great-uncle died on

Friday or Saturday (we got the call Saturday morning). He leaves with

his mom and grandma tomorrow (Monday) night to drive to West Virginia

for the funeral. Saturday night, we got the call that my 15 month old

nephew was hospitalized with a 105 degree fever and a seizure. First

they thought it was pneumonia, then they thought it was something

else, something else, and then something else. Now, they think it was

all caused by a double ear infection. My nephew is like my own son to

me. I got that phone call on Saturday night, and I just collapsed

into tears on Greg. I wanted to get in the car and get to the

hospital as fast as humanly possible (heck... call in the National

Guard and airlift me there, just get me there!!!!! and NOW!!!!!, ya

know what I mean?), but my dad wouldn't let me, because Greg and I

were about 50 miles away from the hospital at our house, and there was

that whole bit of the Winter Storm Warning, and over 200

closures/delays (Northeastern Indiana, Madison County). Not to

mention that today (Sunday), it took me 3 hours to make the normally 1

hour drive to the hospital (It is like less than a mile from Target).

I left the house at 11am and didn't get to the hospital until 2pm,

and when I got there, could barely hold his head up, he was so

exhausted. He lifted his head up when I came into the room, then it

fell down, about a second after he had lifted it up, he did that 3

times until his uncle (my sister in law's bro) said to him, " Do you

want to hold you? " . Then, lifted his head up again, and

it fell again, but that was enough of an answer for his uncle. He

gave me , and I sat down in the chair, and my little buddy slept

on my chest for about half an hour, before I had to go grab a bite to

eat and then head to work (3:30pm to 11pm... NOT fun...). was

in the hospital Saturday night, and he also spent tonight (Sunday) in

the hospital, but we don't know if he'll be released tomorrow or not.

I hope he will be, but I'd rather they be sure that he won't have

another seizure or at least know EXACTLY what caused the seizure, so

that we can prevent them in the future or SOMETHING. I don't want my

little man in the hospital again (or at least until he gets his

tonsules taken out or something like that... when he is OLDER, and we

are ALL more capable of handling this). I thought my world was

falling down around me when my dad called me to tell me that

had a 105 temp and a seizure, and that the house had been full of

paramedics (we're friends with all the paramedics and they ALL know

). When dad told me that ALL of the on-duty paramedics had come

to the house, my first thought was " Oh shite, they're all there,

because they're worried and they know something is HORRIBLY wrong. If

they're worried, then that must mean that it is REALLY bad. " I'm

still shaking, just thinking about my little buddy and how pathetic he

looked in the hospital this morning, and how scared he must have been!

:-((

Please pray for !

Thanks!

Hugs!

PS: That was the first time in a little over a month that I had bawled

my eyes out! My head is still reeling from the havoc a crying session

plays with my sinuses.
