, Thanks for sharing the Graham article. It is always good to be reminded that this journey we are on is our own, and the only one we should be comparing ourselves to is the Lord. How encouraging to remember that there are so many who have gone before us who are cheering us on! I have to remind myself nearly every day that my Noah will be perfectly healthy in heaven. Such heartache here on earth.

Just learned that I was breaking a quideline set for the mito sites. Sorry if I made anyone feel uncomfortable or such. I do want to respect all. Sincerely

I wanted to share this with you--

Hey everyone,

I saw this in a newspaper-like mag (Baptist Courier) that we get in the mail, wanted to share it with you---

The article is titled---My answer -By Graham

Dear Dr. Graham: Do you think people who have died and gone to heaven know what happens on earth? My grandmother died recently, and I think I'd try harder to be a better person if I thought she was always watching me.---E.N.

Dear E.N.: The Bible doesn't give us an absolutely clear answer about this, but it does hint that those who have gone to heaven before us may be aware of what takes place here on earth.

The writer of the book of Hebrews, for example, reminds us of some of the great Old Testament heroes who lived for God, often in the midst of great opposition. (You can read about them in the 11th chapter of Hebrews.) Then he concludes with these words: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us" (Hebrews 12:1).

Here he paints for us a picture----the picture of a stadium filled with people, perhaps watching us as we live our lives, cheering us on as we stretch toward the finish line. Yes, perhaps those who have entered heaven are watching us, even now. At least their lives should be examples, pointing us to Christ and eternity.

But never forget this: God sees us, and that should be enough to encourage us to do what the Bible says: "Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account" (Hebrews 4:13). Make sure of your commitment to Christ, and then make it your goal---with His help---to live for Him every day.

GOD Bless

As I get through each day knowing that Lochie is happy and safe in the arms of God - I am glad to have read this. Even if I didn't believe in such I don't think anyone would begrudge you trying to give hope. Every post that seems down is lifted by another. I feel supported in many ways here and your way is one of them. Thank you.
