Guest guest
I had the same procedure only for my shoulder . The recovery was hell and took several months before the pain was managed by Tylenol # 3 and I sought second and third opinions post-op convinced that my doctor had dome something horribly wrong. When the pain finally went away, I had a year without dislocations or subluxations and then it all loosened up again and has been out of joint completely for two years now. I must say though, that of the 9 procedures before this one on that same shoulder that one lasted the longest in terms of success. The only option now is a fusion, which I don't have any interest in right now. Jill In 1994 I let the head orthopeadic at University of PA break a piece off my left bottom leg bone, swivel it over then screw it back down and reattached the patella tendon to the moved piece.
