Guest guest
No. The instructions state: Supplements are an addition to your diet that may be advantageous in your recovery and in the maintenance of your long term good health. It is important to note that you do not have to take these supplements. They might be of some help but are not necessary for your recovery. Check with Dr. R. on that if you think you want to go for the long term taking them. Guest guest
Hi Folks, I need to reorder supplements for my 9 year old with Crohn's. I don't have a doctor that I trust now so I hope someone can help me. She is on no meds and had few symptoms over the last 7 months. Was on 'Kirkman's EveryDay Multi-Vitamin' and 'Lactobacillus Acidophilus'. From what I read on the Pecan web-site Kirkman's is not the best choice so I plan to order from GI Pro Health this time. My question is what would be the best multi-vitamin and pro-biotic? Is there a good calcium supplement? Do you think there are additional supplements she should be taking at this time? I saw that the Saccharomyces Boulardii is good for "intestinal health" but it says it contains yeast. I believe that's off the diet, correct? Thanks in advance for any help! Guest guest
Hi, Donna, I can answer your S. Boulardii question. It is legal. The reason it is legal is that it is a non-colonizing yeast. S. Boulardii and Lactobacillus Acidophilus are the only SCD legal probiotics. , mom to > > I saw that the Saccharomyces Boulardii is good for " intestinal health " but it says it contains yeast. Guest guest
Thank you Marilyn, that's the reason I decided to go with the GI Health brand this time. There is a pretty long list of illegal Kirkmans on the Pecanbread website so it seemed safer to go with the other.
