Tigger, I forwarded the copy of the post I sent to the other group, as well as a

couple of links I found, to your private addy. I'm not so sure that what you are

experiencing sounds like seizures, but whatever it is, you need to find out why.

I cannot believe your doctors haven't run allsorts of tests on you by now.

You've been having this so long, and whatever is causing it is something

serious, as you have already come close to dying. Falling to the ground in the

middle of the night makes it super-dangerous, as you could hit your head or do

something where you couldn't get up or to medical help on time.

The only time I had anything like this...and it was way different, was when I

finally was dx'd with pneumonia and put in hospital. I spent about 4 days prior

to that falling down A LOT!!! I did, in fact, end up with multiple scrapes and

bruises, to the point that when I finally DID go to the ER, they were concerned

that I had been being physically abused by someone. I don't remember really why

I was so stubborn about going to hospital when it first began, but there you

are, it's just part of the overall brain fog, I think, at times. I wasn't having

any 'pneumonia' type symptoms, it was all just mainly falling down when I stood

up, but the reason was, (I later found out) that I wasn't getting enough oxygen

to my brain, cos of the pneumonia, and would just drop like a stone when I stood

up. It had nothing to do with the epilepsy and nothing to do with the FM/CFS. I

ended up in hospital for nearly a week with that.

One other time I 'dropped' like that was when I had a tubal pregnancy that

ruptured. That instance was cos I hadn't enough blood going to my brain, and was

told if I hadn't gone to hospital directly, as I did, I would have been dead in

another half hour or so. Of course, while the pneumonia related bit was going

on, my brain fog was so intense that I didn't even remember that. I probably

would have gone directly to hospital if I HAD remembered that!!! With the tubal

pregnancy, my husband wanted to believe it was the fact that I had had a couple

of drinks and had suffered a 'real' seizure. Lucky for me, I knew my body and

knew I had to get help...I was also in major pain in my stomach area at the

time.

My (now ex) husband felt so guilty about his 'miscall' that I think that was the

beginning of the end for us, another story, of course. (I hadn't yet started

with the CFS et al)

The entire point of this novel is to point out to you the importance of making

your doctor find out what is REALLY happening during these episodes. It could be

so many different things, but none of them 'good'.

Take care of yourself, please.

Peace and Love

Caroline
