ankle sprain ???? and a little venting

my tiny , light as a feather little 7 year old plopped herself down at

the end of the bed lastnight, not realizing she was landing on my

crossed feet! the foot on top seems to have been slightly sprained in

an odd direction, it is really messing with me! as everything is, it

was worse this morning. theres some minor bruising but no serious

swelling. but this hurts higher up in the ankle than a normal sprain. i

figure I should see a doctor, but I am affraid he'll just laugh at me,

ya know? just throw a pain pill at it and not really make sure it's not

the stress fractures I seem prone to. and honestly, considering the

size of my daughter I am really embarrassed that it could hurt so !

jeeezzze this is just rediculus. I know I gotta go so it doesn't end up

turning into something worse....but come on!!! ugh.

If your doctor is 'worth his salt' he will realise how fragile you are, and

treat you accordingly. When something 'isn't right' we need to have it checked

and treated so that it doesn't excacerbate the rest of our ills. I hope it isn't

anything serious, but I am glad you will be getting it checked.
