Hi folks, just a little intro about me, I had my mamogramm 7th Aprilgot a recall letter on the 25th April to go again on the 26th April where they did another one on my left breast and at the same time took a needle biopsy. Told to return on Tuesday 2nd May and was greeted that the Biopsy proved positive and also on closer examination they had found another lump about an inch away from the first lump.I have just heard that I am scheduled for surgery on the 19th May and hope it is a good omen as it will be my lovely daughternah's 43rd birthday.I am being treated as a day case patient so do not have to suffer awful hospital food and once the wound has healed will have to have approx 6 weeks of daily Radiotherapy.I am an Embroiderer so have plenty to keep my mind occupied, just hope that I will not be grounded for too long afterwards as I climb the wall if I cannot get in my car and go for a drive when I feel like itTerry http://community.webshots.com/user/tcw27forgot to add, I live in the West Midlands in the UK

Terry,

So sorry to hear of your diagnosis... but you'll find a lot of support here with all of us in different stages and different treatments and different stages of treatment.

If you have questions, ask. I'll keep you in my prayers as I do all the girls here.

Breena,

Make an appointment with your family dr and ask for a mammogram and then go from there. Please don't wait. It might not be anything but its always better to catch things early. I will keep you in my prayers.

Go to an emergency room they can't turn you away. Or you could try talking to a patient advocate first at a local hospital and they could tell you about any free clinics in the area.

I live in Virginia Beach, VA. We have free clinics here. Charges are based on your ability to pay. In this area, you can find out where they are through Social Services.
