Guest guest
I'm wondering both if anyone knows the legality of serrapeptase (apparently a prolytic enzyme also known as serratio peptidase, SP, or SerraZyme), and if anyone has successfully used it to treat pain/inflammation. Some literature I've found claims great results in autoimmune inflammatory responses. I'm having a bad bout of erythema nodosum complete with complications that doctors are pushing pred, ibuprophen, and other NSAIDs at (and I am refusing them!), and a friend has recommended serrapeptase as a natural alternative. I was also hoping this might be a good migraine remedy. I've bought Enerex brand, and the capsules contain carrageenan so I'm hoping to get around that illegal by transferring the contents of the capsule into a plain gelatin capsule. They indicate that the contents contain no added starches, binders, or fillers. Thanks in advance for any advice, Bronwyn Crohn's, SCD 5 months
Guest guest
Hi... I haven't taken it myself, but many of the patients at our clinic swear by it & it isn't sourced from corn like wobenzyme ( a more "famous" proteolic enzyme) ..some also use it to enhance antifungal therapy ( take it, then then the natural antifungal 1 hour later as some studies have shown a substantial increase in effectiveness ) ...it's a bit too pricey for me to try it for that yet myself...but might at somepoint ...but for arthritic pain, sports injuries & migraines --I've heard it works great. hth, gisele
