Jill,

I still avoid pre-shreaded cheeses 4 years after modifing my SCdiet. I always

watch thrift stores for kitchen gadgets, and one I never pass up is the old

salad master style shreader/slicers, that were a part of stanless steel cookware

sets sold at home dinner parties in the past.

This web page shows the latest model, the one I am using right now is not this

model.

The one I use now mounts to the counter top with a suction cup, and has

changable cones They usually include a small and large shreader, a grater, and a

thin slicer. They store well, because they nest somewhat.I have also foung many

high priced slicing mandolins at a great price- 5-10% of retail. I buy these up

and pass them along to our kids and friends who have cooked in our home with us

while growing up, now that they are making homes of their own.

Crohn's DG 2003 , symptoms included terrible joint and soft tissue pain, just

met first cousin who suffers from Reactive Arthritis-explains sooo much.

Followed SCD Strictly 2003-06, then modified by adding new things 10-12 days

apart to avoid delayed reactions in the form of arthritis symptoms. Scope on

2-5-09 was great! Doc says no symptoms,No scope for 10 years!!!
