Guest guest
I use a casserole dish to make the yoghurt. When setting it I put on the glass lid. When I go and get the yoghurt after it sets the glass lid has water on it inside and out. Which means some of the water leaks into the yoghurt. Can I just set the yogurt without the lid? Thanks Sky
Guest guest
Getting some water from condensation in the yogurt doesn’t really matter. I assume there aren’t tons of it. Once you put the yogurt in the refrigerator, some of the water will separate and you can pour it or spoon it off if you want to. Or stir it back into the yogurt. You could use a clean dish towel as a “lid” if you wanted to. You don’t have to put a lid on it, but a lid prevents any possible airborne particles from getting into it, and it also helps keep the milk from getting a skin on it as it’s turning into yogurt. But that too you can stir into the yogurt or remove. n From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of subhadradasi2000 Sent: Sunday, March 15, 2009 8:48 PM To: BTVC-SCD Subject: setting the yoghurt I use a casserole dish to make the yoghurt.
