Kimber,

I had my first injection of octreatride a few weeks

ago almost a month now i guess. I did have to go out

of state to get it. I live in Illinois my gi

specialist lives in iowa city, iowa. My gi spec.

ordered it for me i asked my gi in town for the first

injection could he give it to me so i wouldn't have to

drive all the way to iowa and he said that he could

not give it to me because it is not fda approved in

Illinois. So, I went to iowa got the shot didn't even

see the doc. A few days later i felt worse i called

my gi here and he increased my morphine about two

weeks after the injection I had to go to the er

because of increased pain. I feel it is not working i

go next week to get my second injection then i will

see the doc and he said if i am not better he is going

to put in a peg pesh tube? I don't know what that is.

Side effects I have noticed are increased gas it is

terrible and soreness at the injection site.

If you have any of these can u let me know. and keep

me posted as to how it is working for you.
