Guest guest
Hi Kathy Thanks for the " kick " as I have a treadmill that I need to use. Thanks too for that 5 or 6 min suggestion as thats just what I will do! Love Marge > hello everyone, > > its been a while since I posted. I also have had the achy hip and buttock pain at night. However, we recently purchased a stair stepper machine and that pain has disappeared. I think the ache in the leg where it attaches to the bone was not so much arthritis, but muscle wasting. The stair stepper is very good because it allows you to strengthen muscles and also modify your excercise level if you are in alot of pain. but it increases circulation throughout the body and gets blood to flow down to those aching legs and feet. I also like that it is in my home so that I can exercise (even for five mins. ) in my pajamas etc whenever. Wishing all a return to health this new year. Guest guest
Kathy, You bring up the important topic of exercise equipment. I am very excited about a purchase I made just three days ago: a Weslo Pursuit 20.2CT Exercise Bike. This item cost me just $74.95 (US) at SportsMart, but it is also available at many other stores, including Oshman Sporting Goods and K-Mart. This more than a bike, because it also exercises the shoulders as you pedal. Great for anyone who has RA that affects knees, hips and shoulders. For illustrations of this bike, go to www.google.com and do a search on " Weslo Pursuit 20.2CT Exercise Bike " . Or simply go to sites like: http://www.exercise-n-fitness.com/equipment_details.asp?pid=759 http://www.gym-equipment.net/recumbant-exercise-bikes-5.html http://www.ionlinestore.com/Personal-Care/Exercise-and-Fitness/Equipment/Station\ ary-Bikes/s_11221.html http://sports.sportsavings.com/weslo/i779223-weslo-pursuit-20-2ct-exercise-bike.\ shtml One of the features of this bike is that it is lightweight, so that it can easily me moved out of the way by anyone. And if you stop exercising, you are only out a modest amount of money. Sincerely, Harald At 05:07 PM 1/6/03 -0800, Kathy wrote: >hello everyone, > >its been a while since I posted.
