Guest guest
I called the doctor today right now he told me not to worry about the calcium, because she drinks milk and the calcium in the water, he did tell me that he wanted her taking Tums with calcium for her stomach. It was 0.7 and he told me that was really good considering what it was when she was admitted into the hospital. He is just hoping that with the weaning of the prednisone that it will stay down, she wants me to watch for color and water gain, so of course you all know I will. I wonder if she would mind if I went into the bathroom with her when she goes. LOL Lori Rita Nucciarone wrote: Hey Lori, Do ask about the calcium - I too was placed on Fosamax when on prednisone. It caused some side effects with my stomach though...so I had to add protonix to the picture as well. Also about the 0.7 - I think this number sounds right. My last lab work I was at 0.9. I'm hoping that her creatinine doesn't go crazy, that was one of the things that he is a little worried about, I will also have to ask when he calls on Friday about her creatinine, I thought he said 0.7, but now I'm not so sure. I will have to get back with you on that. Lori > > Took to the Neph today, They are dropping her preidsone from > 80 mg a day to 60 mg everyother day.
