Guest guest
Thanks, I'm excited. Got the paperwork last night for my Corporate Visa that they are giving me to pay for my training trip to Boston. Can't wait, and people at my current job are all unhappy that I'm leaving, although happy for me. It's good to know people respect my skill and dedication. Now if I can just get my diet under control, everything will be good. Worked my full time then part time job yesterday, so went to s, ate a medium fry & 2 Jr Cheeseburger Deluxes. Feel horrible about eating it, and I still feel physically yucky this morning.~Coco~ wrote: Jon, Congrats on the new job! I am so happy for you. Guest guest
Jon, A corporate visa...wow...big leagues! lol When is your training? Next May hubby and I are going to Boston, I can't wait! You have been busy and eating on the run. Hopefully things will settle down for you after your training and you can eat better. I am sure you will feel better then too. Are you going to keep working at Wal-Mart with the new job too? Your co-workers are smart people, of course they hate to see you go. You are "good people". lol Hang in there! Guest guest
Congrats on the new job..... Is this the position you were hoping to get?Jon wrote: Hey Gang, Wanted to give you guys a heads up. I have a new job starting Aug 1 with Liberty Mutual. I do not know if I will have access to internet for personal use, and since I don't have it at home, I do not know how often I'll be able to check in. I'm not going to unsub from the group, but working 2 jobs and have no internet at home, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to check in. Guest guest
Yes, it is, and I'm excited. 4 days left at my current job! My fiance agreed we should look into internet, so I'll start doing that shortly. I'm already seeing better eating patterns. Sunday had to work p/t job for 8 hours, so for lunch, walked to s and instead of my usual burger, 5 piece chicken & fries, I got a baked potato, caesar salad and a 5 piece and broke up the chicken to eat with the salad. Actually was good, and still better than the usual in terms of fat/cals. Last night took some left over London Broil, put it on the forman grill, cut to strips and made fajitas with low-fat cheese and a side dish of mixed veggies. I've got the new job, and now I'm focused on losing weight. Made tuna sandwiches for me and my fiance for today so we can avoid junk food at lunch. Time to do this.Gail kidder wrote: Congrats on the new job..... Is this the position you were hoping to get?Jon wrote: Hey Gang, Wanted to give you guys a heads up. Guest guest
Oh, and thank you for the congrats!!! Anyone know what the most cost effective internet would be, dial up, dsl or cable? I'd have to get a phone for dial up or dsl, so cable modem might be cheaper. I live on my cell, so don't really need a home phone.Gail kidder wrote: Congrats on the new job..... Guest guest
Jon, I have netscape at home which is only $9.95/month. I do have a home phone though, so i'd check out the cable modem especially if you have cable already and if your cable provider offers internet access.Jon wrote: Oh, and thank you for the congrats!!! Guest guest
Jon, Since you don't have nor do you want a phone line I would say DSL and Dial Up are out. I think if you already have Cable then the Cable Modem would be the best way to go. Glad you are looking into getting the Internet at home. Guest guest
We have cable modem and it is faster and less problems. I went to Curves yesterday. I took it slow but I was hurting last night anyway. It'll take a week or two to get used to it again. Guest guest
I won't rush it, Coco. I'm sore today and I have to go back tomorrow. There's nothing about them starting the diet class. I think they have a book with the diet in it. It just helps to go every week and weigh in. Barb Re: 2 more weeks Barb, Glad to hear that you are back to Curves. Be careful and don't rush it too much. Guest guest
Barb The book they used with ours was the purple member guide. It has the diet in it. Some people got it when they joined if they got 3 other people to join I think. Not sure how it really worked. Anita -- Re: 2 more weeks I won't rush it, Coco. Guest guest
Thats what I thought, but I wasn't sure. Do the people have to join or do you just have to refer them? If you just have to refer them maybe there are people who wouldn't mind you giving their name even if they don't want to join.
