I did Atkins to lose my 10%. I always could lose a few pounds(40ish)

but then it would all come back. Journaling everything I ate helped

tremendously too.

Hi Adrienne,

None of us has been able to lose weight and keep off just by dieting .

.. . however most of us have managed to lose some weight on diets . . .

and I am sure that you will be able to the 10% that is required.

I had trouble following the 1200 calorie diet that they gave us, so I

just tried to make adjustments that would be needed for long-term

success after surgery (things like giving up caffeine and carbonated

drinks, drinking lots of water and so on) and ate high protein/low carb

for the most part. I might have reached my pre-surgery goal faster if

I had stuck with their diet - it took me 3 months to lose the 37 pounds

I had to - but I did the best I could and it did get me where I needed

to be.

I am sure that you will do great.

Take care,

Kay
