Guest guest
Hi Regina, Hang in there. I have heard the " lost paperwork " story from lots of list members! It seems to be a very common excuse from insurance companies! Keep faxing your request to them until they acknowledge receiving it. There is a site called fax4free, you can send them a fax every day for free! It's www.fax4free.com. Good Luck! Pre-Op 2/25/

Guest guest
I would definetly call patient's assistance or your bariatric department and raise hell. Thats not fair to change your date, what four times in 24 hours !! I would demand that you get your original date back. I know how disappointed you must be. Good Luck > Well I was all set to go! Guest guest
Hi Curt, Argh!!!! I'd being going nuts, too. Getting in the right mind-set seems an important part of surgery preparation - at least it does to me - and this sort of uncertainty doesn't help a bit. Has Kaiser given you any sort of assurance that this latest date is for real? It is bad enough that they've postponed your surgery, but it would help if you knew that this latest date is firm. Also . . . would they put you at the head of the list of folks willing to take an earlier date if someone cancels? It would seem like the least they could do since the scheduling snafu was their error. I hope that everything progresses smoothly from here. Oct. 13 isn't as early as you'd hoped to be done with surgery . . . but it is fast approaching. All the best, Kay in San Leandro open RNY 12/1/03 Briscar, Curt wrote: > Well I was all set to go! Guest guest
The problem stems from Kaiser having to perform the surgery at another facility. Parma Community hospital schedules the surgery and Kaiser patients take a back seat to other patients. I called Kaiser to see what I could do about this and they when they use other hospitals they are open to this type of scheduling problem. Thanks,Curt -----Original Message-----From: Kay Sent: Tuesday, August 24, 2004 1:17 PMTo: gastric-bypass-support-kaiser-patients Subject: Re: FrustrationHi Curt,Argh!!!! I'd being going nuts, too.
