Guest guest
Hi,It is so wonderful having this supportive list. Jodie, have been following your posts; I hope you are feeling better again soon!I have been poking around for a yogurt maker. Enough people have mentioned uneven heat with the Yogourmet, I decided not to invest.then I had hopes for the one that uses a thermos, but heard on SCD list that it will not maintain enough heat.Last night I came across one that I plan to order--and from the manufacturer. So I want to let others who may have held off knowabout this Yolife. What I like is that it can be used for either one large batch, or for smaller jars. Yahoo! The way they worked this out is to sell it with, I think 7 glass jars for smaller serving batches. it also comes with a higher domed lid, to make 'up to 80 ounces.' Also, it is $34 or$35, and can be bought from manufacturer. Have you any experience with this product? Unless you have had a problem using this, I am tickled.Separate question: I have been making SCD yogurt in borrowed gadget, using whole milk as prescribed. For me it is a little rich. Also, I am gaining weight I do not need [of course not just the yogurt! ] I looked for information on this question, find Elaine saying that lower fat milk had more lactose. I wonder if it might could work to use alower fat milk and have it process longer to take care of the extra lactose??? Or if Elaine did not ok this, don't try it. many thanks,Ruth
