Guest guest
Anyone have a bad reaction to scd yogurt, especially at first? Should one be on scd before starting yogurt? (I know Elaine opposed probiotic use w/o scd on grounds that the bacteria just fed bad bacteria in gut; does the same principle apply to yogurt?) I am not yet on scd (working my way up to it), but made my first batch of yogurt this weekend. As far as I know I did everything correctly: organic whole milk, :plain Dannon starter, 25+ hour fermentation. Seemed to turn out quite well -- surprisingly creamy, in fact. I've started off with very small amounts each day, starting Sunday -- less than a cup-- and seemed to tolerate it fine, until today. I had some with breakfast and started cramping around 3 hours later, which led to a trip to the bathroom for small floating loose bowel (sign of high fat?) Now there are other possible triggers -- eggs for breakfast, midmorning snack of nuts and cream of rice (illegal, I know) -- which on occasion trigger problems (very inconsistently and unpredictably) the timing is usually 2-3 hours later. So, I'm wondering if the yogurt triggered this incident? This is the first time I had it with breakfast; first 3 days I had it in evening. Thanks!
