Guest guest
Today I am 5 days post-op, surgery was Monday at Richmond. I am really feeling good for being post-op such a short time. I can walk 2 blocks, I did laundry today and even made a macaroni salad. I rested in between all of this of course. I had the first BM today (sorry if that is too much info, it is very important after surgery though).I gave up trying to take Colace and started taking Benefiber. I had not taken Vicodin since yesterday morning and finally took 1/2 of the dose this afternoon because the main site of the lap (6 ports in all) was feeling uncomfortable. I cannot say I have experienced much pain, just uncomfortable. I am having trouble sleeping, but that is not new for me.I am tolerating all the drinks and food on Stage ll with no problem. I have lost 8 pounds since Monday, woo hoo! I can hardly wait until I can drive and hit some consignment shops. Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement, I have appreciated them so much. Guest guest
Carol: Congratulations on your successful recovery so far. Sounds like you are one of the fortunate ones with only a little discomfort. I was like that too, and just remember, that even though you are feeling great, you still need to get enough rest in order to let your innards heal safely.
