Guest guest
“WAAAY tastier” is definitely a matter of opinion! J I was inadvertently given a glass of sheep’s milk – inadvertently to me, anyway – a number of years ago while in Germany. I thought it was probably the most vile tasting thing I’ve ever had in my mouth. I thought so at the time and nothing has surpassed it. I don’t know what those sheep were grazing on, but “tasty” was certainly not the result for their milk. n From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Gisele Sent: Wednesday, March 11, 2009 10:26 AM To: BTVC-SCD Subject: Re: Yeast,Yogurt & Honey Any chance you could find sheep milk where you are?? It's actually even less allergenic than goats milk ( even I can tolerate it, in small amounts!) & is WAAAY tastier !! & makes thick creamy yogurt Mmmmmm...they haven't started producing yet ( it's still -10 c here!) Ooooh but as soon as spring comes I'll be doing the 2 hour drive up the mountain to get it!! ( Cuz it's that good!!!) :-) Gisele No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG. Guest guest
Well I've never had it as a milk ( even cows milk would gross me out --seems slimy!) But the stuff I get is very sweet & mild tasting ...could definitely be what they're grazing on tho & maybe the variety ( these are katidins (sp!) & I do recall my milk guy going into great detail about how they're the best sheep for milking ?? & they're in a very pristine valley, eating mostly alfalfa i think? ...even my fussy 13 dd loves it. sorry yours was yucky! gisele
