I am SOOO relieved that you got some help. Now we just need to insure that you

can KEEP it. A DO is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. They are mainly glorified

chiropractors, only not nearly as sympathetic. My previous doctor, the one I

said was soooo bad was a DO. They are in fact not even MDs. They have a

different type of medical license altogether. The only treatment my DO believed

in was manipulation, and yet he didn't even take a tenth the care my chiro does.

He didn't take even one X-ray, but just started in 'whalin' on my back. The

first time he did that was the last, as I refused to let him touch me after

that. I ended up in a huge flare, he hurt every part of me doing his so-called

adjustment. My chiro works from X-rays so that he knows he won't make something

worse. He updates the X-rays every so often to see if things are going well. Not

that so-called DO. I guess he thinks he has X-ray vision or something and

doesn't need to take any precautions!! As you can see, I'm not too fond of DOs.

Do a google search and you'll see what I mean. They don't even train in a

hospital as regular MDs do, no internships nor residencies. They supposedly

practice 'holistic' medicine. They don't much believe in drugs. As I recall, his

NP wrote all my prescriptions...and NONE of them were for FM!! Only things for

high blood pressure, etc.

Now that you know there IS hope out there, I know you will do whatever is

necessary to keep it. I am so happy and relieved that you really are feeling

better. Have a wonderful holiday.

Peace and Love
