Guest guest
They both have some things in common in general. (let's not group them all into the same category though, some are different).... But it seems that doctors in general work for the money instead of the life they are there to help or save. Speaking of vets, the night the little woman at the nursing home had a dog that was dying, one of the aids got on the phone trying to call veterinarians. One of them was just plain cold. Of course he did not want to come out of his warm house at 9pm and go to his office to stop the suffering of a little dog... or even just try to give some comfort to the little thing. And he blatently put it " It will cost about 200 dollars for me to see the dog " ..... Another one was a 24 hour vet hospital and they pretty much said the same things. Mind you the little dog really had no hope with the condition he was in. However, some compassion would have been nice. I mean what would it have taken for a vet to see this little precious pet and at least offer some kind of opinion or put it to sleep instead of the little thing suffering into the next day. Ok..... the dog meant little to anyone except the little old lady who had him for 17 years. (though the staff loved him at the home). But what needed to be realized was that to this little lady that dog WAS her baby and her BEST friend for 17 years. That is a long time. Just some thoughts about healthcare in general. Also what about all this stuff in 3rd world countries where we as Americans volunteer to care for the sick and the starving. (the humane thing to do).... But what about our own country and people? I have two children I can't afford to insure and I also fall above the income line to recieve any government aid for them. Well, to heck with my kids or me. But if they were in a 3rd world country, they would get free care. Thoughts, love and hugs, Debra V. --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals?
