Caroline.. you made me laugh. Yep, they are named after men aren't they. LOL.

But seriously, about the booze, I don't see any harm in a drink once in a

while. However, for some people it does not mix with meds and also can irritate

the fibro monster. So it probably is not worth it.

I use to have a good time about once every month or so with my hubby. We

would go out and I would have Cuervo gold margartias and a couple of shots.

I could handle it a few years ago. I can't now. LOL. So I have not drank a

drop in the last 2 years hardly. I don't really miss it though.

I will add though,,,,,,, the flare that sent me screaming and made me know

something was wrong ... it all started after 2 nights of partying. I think the

booze kicked the FM into full swing and that is when my hands were attacked.

Shortly after, I was diagnosed with FM. I had it for years, but I just did not

realize it.

So, yes, take heed. The alcohol truly can send the fibro into full force.

Angie, I hope things work out soon. How terrible for your own parents to turn

on you like that. Do they believe you have a real illness or do they just think

you are crazy?????

That is so sad.

love and hugs,

Debra V.

I'm really sorry you're having such a rough time. I can sure empathise

with you about nearly everything. But, you know, old , he really ain't no

friend of mine,... nor yours either!!! I know it sounds soooo tempting, but I

also know he's a 'fair weather' friend, and he loves to cause trouble!! You

REALLY don't need that in your life right now, not the kind of troubles he

brings with him!! And, WHY do you think so many kinds of booze are named after

men anyway? Right!!Cos they no good!!!

I really do feel for you. This time of year puts so much extra pressure on all

of us, and sometimes it's nearly the straw that breaks the camel's back. Just

hang in there Angie, we're all here for you. Your kids will do just fine, and if

your parents insist on acting like keds too...well, just treat them like kids!!

I do hope you are feeling better tomorrow. I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

Peace and Love

Just depends on the person. 3 or so Quervo Margaritas makes my

fibro pain run for the hills for a little while at least. It at least

is a break from hurting all the time. And I've gotten lectures from

everyone I can think of about not drinking while on pain medicine, you

know what, I am to the point that I DON'T CARE anymore. It at least

gives a little lapse from the pain every now and then.

Sometimes a bit of alcohol is better than the pain meds...but we don't

want to over do that either. Alcohol relaxes me (and the muscles)and

either I stop hurting for awhile or I still hurt, but don't care. Not

sure. LOL!
