Thanks to all for your feedback, Sheryn also has a glioma, it is in the

spinal column, but very close to the brainstem, so who knows..

Other news...Em's op rescheduled for Wednesday 27th, but we are playing it cool

this time, so no doubt now we are not building up for it, it just might happen!

Em had the ultrasound and CT of pelvic region. Ultrasound showed lesion on what

they thought was liver, CT came back normal..??? Em wound up in emergency this

morning on morphine for the excruciating pain. They think it may be something

to do with her ovaries, either an ovarian cyst that has burst or twisted

ovary..in any case more tests required, so need now to see a gyneacologist

(spelling??). It just goes on and on doesn't it.

On a lighter note, GREAT NEWS Georgia...I know you must be asolutely thrilled,

good news never goes astray in our bunch eh!!

love and prayers to y'all

Dear Terrie,

It's always great to hear an encouraging update like yours! 87

pounds!! Wow. That's what my first daughter Chloe weighs, give or take a

pound. You've lost an entire little person! :) I am very proud of you.

I'm glad you had your WLS before your daughter so you can help her

through it! My best friend has her WLS two months before me so it helped to

have her with me, post-op.

God bless you, Terrie, and come visit us more often. :)

Hi Terrie.....

I sure know what you mean about getting used to certain things. I was 318

lbs 11 months ago and now i am 195 lbs, now i can tuck in my shirts in my

jeans and i actually look good tucked in. I know i would look better with

some of this loose skin taken off but hubby lost job now and we are living

off of exactually nothing for the time being. Praying for the phone call

that comes in after filling in all these job applications. So now no

insurance.

Your daughter is in my prayers when she has her surgery.

Good to hear from you Terrie, my surgery buddy. You are still ahead of me in

pounds lost, but I am enjoying the feeling of being able to cross my legs again,

too. I did it for so long on Saturday, that my calve muscle actually hurt

because it wasn't used to it. LOL! I reached the 70 pound mark today. I want

to reach 75 by our 6 month anniversary, and 100 by 9 months.

Dear Jeanne,

I can see how that would be true. Sex isn't much fun when you are

in pain or bleeding all the time. BUT, if those problems can be

solved without losing your uterus, like having a myomectomy, then

there isn't much point in removing an otherwise healthy uterus. And

since your small fibroid is inside your uterus you are quite

possibly a candidate for hysteroscopic resection, an outpatient

procedure with no incision and practically zero recovery time.

I had the flushing too...and it went away as my body adjusted. However, with

the palpitations...I think you upped too fast. What would probably work for

you is to continue the 60 in the morning if that wasn't causing any

problems...and then add 1/4 grain in the afternoon around 1 or 2 and see how

that works

for you.

Hi Sharon! Glad you have started on natural thyroid. As far as the

palps you are experiencing---a strong clue is that you may have

upped way too quick. When you switch from T4 to Armour, your body

has to make an adjustment to getting direct T3 again.

I started on 3/4 grain, and with each increase, which were MUCH

smaller than what you have done, I would also have palps. They would

decrease after a week, but again, I was on much less...and upping

only a little at a time.

It may be wise to go back down to that one grain--and hold it for

another 2 weeks. Then..try going up 1/4 to 1/2 grain...and hold for

a few weeks.......etc.

Also, I am not reading that you are dividing your dose. I take 2/3rd

of my Armour in the morning, and another 1/3 in the early afternoon,

for example.

The problem with sleeping could be an adrenal issue. Have you had

your adrenals checked?

Also, do you know where your Ferritin is?

The energy you are feeling is most likely the result of the direct

T3 in Armour--not the effect of the Synthroid you used to take.

When I started Armour, I started it splitting it 4 times a day all before 5.

Also, if you were taking Synthroid, it takes a while to get out of your

system. Let us know what the results were of the tests. 90 should not be too

high. The t3 may take some getting used to

I think you increased too soon. Also are you taking anything for your

adrenals?

I find if i increase too much i can cope for a couple of days then i

have to half the increase and take more adrenals support for 4 or 5

days-then when i go to the full increase, my body is fine
