Appointment with Neurologist

Well, I got up got dressed and got out of the house today and made my

appointment. Can't really say that things went well. He pushed on my " trigger "

points in my lower back that sent pain up and down my spine, I just thought I

would die. He did the same for the ones in my neck...which I have had a flare

today and that just almost made me pass out! Very painful!! I really didn't

leave with any good news today infact I left with more bad news. He added to my

list of medications by 3 different pills. 2 that I slowly increase the dosage. I

am so freaken tired of taking pills. He added Topamax, Mazalt-mlt 10 and another

one that I can't remember. He also wants me to go 3 times a week for physical

theraphy with them using the TENS unit on my back and next. On the order it

doesn't state how long I am to do this, but I am going to give it a try. My pain

management doctor had ordered a couple of weeks ago an MRI of my neck. I have

never received a letter or phone

call regarding the results and as you know I have not been able to get anyone

to return my calls. Since my MRI was done at the hospital my Neurologist is

associated with he was able to pull it up and guess what????? I not only have a

herniated disc in my lower back I also have not 1 but 2 bulging disc in my neck.

And has my pain management doctor called me? HECK NO!! I asked my Neuro doctor

regarding surgery for my back he stated that he was leaving that up to the pain

doctor...I thought great! I am just so tired of the pain from everything that I

have. I pray that the therapy will help along with the new medication. Can

anyone tell me what the Topamax is as well as the Maxalt-MLT? Thanks for
