now that you mention it, yeah i have... wonder if maybe that has

anything to do with why i have such bad dizziness (even while sitting)?

'tests' done concerning it. I seem to have a 'linear' vision problem.

It's hard to explain, but straight lines often appear to be going off

at an angle. It causes things to look 'off center'. If I measure them,

and I often have, as it makes me crazy to think it's only my mind

playing tricks, the distance is equal between the two sides, but

doesn't appear so to me. I have had my vision tested, and it's nothing

to do with my eyes, so it's obviously a 'quirk' in my brain. Has

anyone else had anything like this?

Wow, that is strange. I think it would drive me nuts, too.

I'm surprised the eye docs don't know why that is.

I have sight problems....but different from what you describe. I see things

moving that aren't...this is usually when a migraine is going to hit. Also,

when my kids are doing thing over and over...like spinning or bouncing a ball,

it affects my vision. It makes me dizzy. Also windshield wipers that are on

and then off for a few seconds and then back on again. It doesn't bother me if

they are on all the time, just the intermittent ones. I also think it's in my

head...because I have a good eye doctor, and just saw him in Sept. I also find

myself closing my left eye in order to see better.

I have the same thing with hearing. I can't hear, I have to turn the tv up very

loud, turn on the captions. I watch people's mouths when they talk so I can

understand what they're saying. And yet, when I went to get my hearing checked,

turns out I have better hearing than most people my age. I think it's a brain

thing...I really do. I wonder if it's a little know symptom, cause, or effect

of fibro?

With the hearing thing, ever since I was little, I have tested very

well on hearing tests, but I have ALWAYS had trouble with the whole

turning sounds into words thing. I can hear a person talking, but I

can't really tell what they are saying unless I am kinda reading

their lips. I usually watch tv with the captions on or have it

rather loud. In fact, I didn't even learn how to talk until I was 6

years old, and that was with speech therapy.

I know, I have some of those things as well. I do know the difference between a

migraine aura and some of the vision things. If I stare at something for a few

minutes, I will often see it in '3-D'. I often see things moving when they

aren't as well. It is so strange what our brains will do. I also have temporal

lobe epilepsy, and though it is treated, I do wonder if that isn't part of it.

One's temporal lobe is what is usually concerned in hallucinations, so maybe

they are just a type of hallucination? Who knows. There is just so much weird

stuff that happens to us. Maybe it happens to 'normals' too, and we just don't

hear about it.
