I have been on Lexapro for two months now. The sixth day I took it,

I had a reaction to it. I felt like I was having a heart attack,

went to the hospital and everything. they did not know what was

wrong with me. I called my doctor when I got home and he said that

sometimes that can happen, it is an inbalance in the body that makes

you feel like you are having a heart attack. He told me to take a

1/4 tablet and then start slowly increasing, if it happens again I

have to go back to 1/4 tablet and then increase again.

Now I take 1 tablet with breakfast every morning and I am doing much

better.

I would suggest taking it slowly. start with 1/4 tablet for a week

then go to 1/2 for a week and so forth. But not starting till you

get back from your conference may be very smart.

Good Luck.

today, but I haven't started taking it yet. (I'm leaving town

tomorrow for a week-long conference and don't want to start a new

medication while I'm away since I have a history of allergic

reactions to new things.)
