Guest guest
I found a Dr. who believes in SCD. Dr. Merigian ( http://www.thestoneinstitute.com/index2.html ) in Cordova Tennessee and Lucy from Lucy's kitchen told me about him. I spoke to a nurse there yesterday and was extremely impressed. He deals in the whole person. His creditials include starting one department and chairing another and the University of Tennessee in Memphis. So even though I have one thing really really bad. He will make a plan for other bad things. He would also be a guide to leaving the bad meds. The nurse mentioned the Dr.'s connection to Elaine and that he is one of the largest buyers of his book. Has anyone ever experienced this kind of doctor. What should I watch out for? He is " off network " for insurance. I am on Enticort and Lialda and the latest doctor is pushing to Remicade and possibly Prednisone. I don't want to do that. I am on day 25 and enjoyed baked apples this morning. Thanks to all you great people,

If Lucy recommended him, nothing scary. Let us know how he treats you - it's interesting for all of us if he does some extra testing. He'll probably send stool sam[ples to check for bacteria/fungus/mold that the regular labs can't catch - which will cost you extra - but that will be helpful. He might do a rectal swap also to test for strains of bacteria/fungus/ mold. > He is " off > network " for insurance. Just about inevitable in our situation. Unfortunately. Dr. Merigian ( http://www.thestoneinstitute.com/index2.html ) in Cordova Tennessee If you go see him, please let us know if you like him or email me privately. My husband and I are about to move to Nashville and surprisingly, I have not found a doctor that seems well informed with diet, adrenals, and thyroid and is familiar with SCD. Cordova is a little over 3 hours from Nashville but I would make the drive if it’s worth it. a
