Yes I have Celiac and have been on SCD for 4-1/2 years. This diet has changed my life. So much more energy less food allergies.

I am just wondering if there are any other celiacs using this diet on

the list? In my researching, I'm not running in to very many people

using this for celiac which seems such a shame since that it who the

diet was originally used for.

Anybody know of any blogs/websites devoted to SCD and celiac?

Thanks again,

I have celiac - have 2 sons to,o but they are just gf - love to have

the whole family scd someday - as I get better and get a grip on

cooking for that many - right now it's 5 different diets so should be

easier but can't deal just yet and hubby says don't restrict them

anymore as they never had symptoms and were only found out due to me -

but they eat very healthy anyway and a lot of stuff thats legal without

them being totally on scd

Hi! I am Celiac with leaky gut on SCD. I am on day 6 of the intro, but switched to SCD foods about 6 months ago. I am hoping following SCD thru the stages correctly with help heal my gut. I felt better just from switching to SCD foods.

Hello!

I have Celiac. I just started the SCD three days ago and am having

some difficulties but am sticking to it. I also belong to the Gluten

free forum which is helpful. There is a small group of us that are

also on teh SCD. If you look under the " LEAKY GUT/ Food Intollerence "

section there is a " SCD Thread " where we all discuss the diet.

Yes, I have Celiac and have been on a GF

diet for 29 years. I am now on the SCD diet and am still waiting on the book

delivery, but have been on the intro diet with a few legal additions for about

2.5 weeks now. I feel so much better now already. I also find this diet much

easier to balance than GF alone. I could relate to what another member wrote

about the diet helping balance blood sugars. I have been an undiagnosed hypoglycemic

for years…bottoming out a lot. I have been for about 2.5 weeks been

eating eggs, ground beef patties, a lot of yogurt, although am not making my

own yet and seem to be good with the natural organic brand I am using, dry

curds, some steamed carrots and broccoli, zucchini, and cooked apples and

cherries. My blood sugars feel way better and I have even made some desserts! This

diet is doing what I have been looking to have happen for years!

Thanks to you and the other celiacs who replied to my question. So

glad to see the diet is still being used for these issues.

When you start making your own yogurt, take it slow! I had been

using an organic brand which I was doing fine with also, but when I

started eating the 24 kind, it was quite a different story. I can

only tolerate a couple of teaspoons a day right now. But it's good

stuff!
