Hi: Just starting the diet. I

went to a local Whole Foods and they have Farmers Cheese by Friendship

Dairy, which is in a container. I looked at the ingredients however and

it says " Culturized pasteurized skim milk, cream and

salt " .

I thought it wasn't supposed to have any dairy.

Is this correct?

It also seems sort of moist.

Debbie,

No, the DCCC does not contain lactose, which is different from not

containing dairy.

will take you to a PDF file which is the label on the dry curd cottage

cheese (DCCC) which I use. While Foods in my area orders this in 7.5

ounce packages. I can get the 16 ounce packages from Fresh

Market.

Hi Marilyn: Thanks for your reply. The link doesn't work. So, does that mean

that Whole Foods added the milk and cream to the Farmer's Cheese, and I

shouldn't eat it, even though I ate about a lb of it yesterday. I'm confused.

I just tested the link, and it works fine -- although you should have

Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine.

Whole Foods did not add anything to the Friendship Dairy Farmer

Cheese.

Dry Curd Cottage Cheese is made from skim milk, cream, and salt.

I am including a copy of the label in this email, which will annoy the

daylights out of everyone on dial-up.
